The short answer

For a straightforward stand-alone house service, budget about C$175–C$250 before tax. In our review, four of five GTA providers published a stand-alone house price or typical range within that band. One provider posted a broader C$105–C$275 cleaning range.

Examples for a second floor, attic, condo or premium package rose to C$250–C$389. These are planning ranges inferred from the public prices below—not a guaranteed market average or a quote for your vent.

How to read this: this is a five-provider observational snapshot, not a scientific survey. We excluded marketplace estimates and used service-provider pages with public GTA pricing. Listing a provider is not an endorsement or proof of its claims, credentials or availability.

The six biggest quote factors

FactorWhy it changes the scope
Vent length and bendsA short direct run differs from a long concealed route with several direction changes.
Exterior terminationGround-level wall access is different from a roof, soffit, balcony or high wall.
Dryer accessStacked, gas, closet-mounted or tightly fitted appliances may need extra planning.
Property typeCondos and multi-unit buildings can add management, parking and insurance requirements.
ComponentsBooster fans, animal guards and unusual terminations can require additional checks.
Repair findingsCleaning does not include every connector, duct or exterior-cover repair.

What should the quoted price include?

Ask whether tax, travel, parking, dryer movement, the complete accessible route, exterior-outlet cleaning, airflow verification and documentation are included. A low starting price is not directly comparable with an all-in price unless both providers describe the same scope.

Questions to ask when comparing quotes

  • Is this a firm price, a starting price or an onsite estimate?
  • Does it cover the complete accessible vent route and exterior outlet?
  • Is moving and reconnecting the appliance included?
  • Are roof, balcony, parking or condo-access charges included?
  • How will before-and-after results be shown?
  • Are repairs quoted and approved separately?
  • What happens if the provider cannot access part of the route?

House, condo and multi-vent pricing

Single-family homes

The route and exterior height are often the key variables. Published house examples in our snapshot ranged from $175–$200 for a straightforward or main-floor setup, with higher pricing for upper-floor, attic or premium work.

Condo units

Published condo examples varied substantially: one provider listed $150–$200, while another listed $289 for basic and $389 for premium service. Building rules, access and the division between in-suite and common ductwork can explain why a condo quote needs a precise scope.

Landlords and multi-unit properties

Multiple vents can change the per-unit economics, but tenant coordination and varied access can add time. Request one written scope showing the number of units and any exclusions.

Research method and evidence limits

This original comparison records prices visible on provider-owned GTA pages on the review date. We compared stand-alone cleaning first and labelled bundled, premium, condo and access-dependent examples separately. We did not call providers, inspect jobs or verify their advertised service claims.

Price pages can change without notice. Confirm the current total, tax, access charges and exclusions directly with the provider before booking. See our editorial standards and evidence status.

How to get a more accurate first response

Include your postal code, property type, laundry floor, exterior termination if known, symptoms, and a note about access. Photos can be useful when requested by the provider, but do not climb or move a heavy appliance to get them.
